| I recently attended the SCBWI AZ Conference and received some extremely positive feedback about Mica Powers and the Hand of Light from a Critque given by well known editor of a large publishing house. So, much encouraged, I have sent the whole manuscript into the interested editor/publisher. Keeeping my fingers crossed. As far as the conference goes there was an impressive faculty: KRISTA MARINO, Editor, Delacorte Press; JOY NEAVES, Editor, Front Street Books; RANDI RIVERS, Associate Editor, Charlesbridge Publishing; DEBORA SMITH, Senior Art Designer, Clarion Books; and CARYN WISEMAN, Literary Agent, Andrea Brown Literary Agency. The day had a professional yet relaxed atmosphere and included terrific insights from the faculty about the publishing business today. There were question and answer sessions in the afternoon with smaller groups. I came away very excited after recieving an amazingly positive critique from Editor Krista Marino, Delacorte Press. I'm not sure where I will go from here, but I will be submitting my MS very soon. |
